Set the Date!

 Now that the New Year is upon us, I can excitedly announce that Hubs and I have set a wedding date!!

JUNE 16th 2012

We are crazy excited and extremely glad that we get an entire year and a half to plan what we hope to be the best party we can possible throw with all of our friends and family!

During our heaps of excitement over the holidays we even designed some super cute save-the-date cards to send to our friends and family to wish them a Happy New Year and let them know that while we still have lots of time to wait, our date is set and we couldn't be happier.

I hope you'll join me in the next 18 months as we hum and haw over wedding decisions. I also can't wait to show you how I proposed to my bridesmaids... the details are yet to come :) stay tuned!!

She prefers China to Paper... Even for Picnics

As a GIANT Kate Spade fan you can imagine my excitement when Christmas Morning Santa 

(a.k.a. my mom) left TWO place settings under the tree for Future Hubs and Me. I had to wait until today to have them delivered to my house, which is why my post is delayed... trust me I've been waiting all week to show you!!

As if the China wasn't completely gorgeous itself:

I've even found a home for Kate in my living room...

Much to Hubby's dismay- I now have visions of an entire room filled with Pink boxes and China Patterns....if only in my dreams.... swoooooon :)

2011... A Big One.

New Years Resolution Time: 

1. Work Out. More. 

2. Blog. More. 

Holy Shmoly, 2011. Can it really be?!!! 2010 was soooo good to me,

it is really really hard to see it go.

However, This New Year, 2011, feels like a big one. A Bittersweet one.

  It marks the 10th year since I graduated from High School.... no that's not possible.... it is? 

It marks my last year as a single lady.

It completes my last FULL year as a 20-something. 

2011 also promises to be full of lots of New Adventures!

Including My New Position at my Dream Job- designing my heart out

 Wedding Wedding Wedding Planning!!

Plus lots more renovations of our humble home 

as it fills our hearts with the most happiness.

(a hall makeover is already in the works!)

 While 2010 was almost too good to be true- new blog, new friends, new job, new ring, new renos...

That means 2011, you have some mighty big shoes to fill...

 but I have no doubt, there will be lots to blog about :)

I'm pretty sure every girl... ok maybe not EVERY girl...  but every girly-girl has dreamed of their wedding dress. Getting the dress is by far my most anticipated moment in this whole getting hitched deal.

My only fear is that I'll like them all.... how will I ever decide? They say when you find the right one you'll just know. Here's hoping that is true because right now, just merely looking through magazines and websites, I love them ALL.

Though I must say right now I am loving Ruffles. Anything and everything Ruffles. Which is why when I saw shots of this Gorgeous Wedding over at Style Me Pretty, my heart grew 10 sizes looking at her gown courtesy of Justin Alexander.

So much fun!! I can't wait to start shopping for dresses- of course, I'll bring you along with me for the ride :) 

Save the Date!

Planning a wedding is way too much fun. There are SO many things to do, SO many cute things to think about... I hardly know where to start.

With Engagement Season here, I figured it was about time I get myself down from Cloud 9 and get some serious items scratched off the wedding list.

First on the list- Set a Date.

I mean,  His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton set their date already and they got engaged after me!! They're engaged to be married on April 29th, 2011- the least I could do was figure out my own date!! I guess I could send out an email outlining my nuptuals like Charles did:

Grout is done!! We picked 'Snow White' as our final option as the contractor recommended NOT going with Bright White. The Disney Reference helped with the decision a little bit too.
