While seeking out Country Chic design ideas for my sister's cottage, I've been drawn to patterns like paisley's mixed with stripes. This bedroom designed by Natalie Hodgins is exactly the style I'm looking for!!

Causal Chic

There isn't much nicer then getting my daily dose of J.Crew emails in my inbox. I was especially happy today when the image in the email looked like the one above :)

And the new arrivals don't disappoint!!

Here are some of my personal fav's that I think I need to sport this summer in my personal at-work-wear collection!!

Loooove the messy hair and 'ya I just threw this on' style :)

 As a final thought- how do we feel about rompers this season!??

That's the great thing about fashion- every year there is one outfit that pushes the limits of style...

I think I need to try it!!

Country Charm

With Spring in full force these days (+20 degrees in April?!) I've been knee deep in a new project- my sister's new (old) cottage!!

It's a sweet little cabin that with some tlc and lots of love should be the cutest summer house on the block!!

The New Adventures of Old Furniture

Since the nostaglia of my wacky dream last night hasn't worn off, I thought a trip down sentimental road was still in order.

To me there isn't a much better feeling then breathing new life into old items. I think the best designed rooms are ones that hold sentimentality and remind you of favourite life moments. Luckily for me I inherted my grandmothers old victorian couch and chair, and with a little love (and fabric) have transformed it into a brand new piece :)

I wish I could do an After Photo with all us girls on the couch again - but I'm pretty sure that would be quite the challenge ;)

Everytime I look at my couch I think of this photo- makes the whole room that much better :)

Dreaming In Coffee

Ever have one of those dreams that is so real and so clear that you swear you were actually there? It happened to me last night- I was back at my old College Job pouring coffee and serving cake. Made me very nostalgic and very happy :)

Aww to go back to the good ol' days when life was as simple as a cup of coffee :)

Moody Monday

Thanks to good old Home Depot I really really really want to paint my front door a funky colour!!

I looooove the combination of Orange with Grey and Cream that is shown above.

All that Glitters

As Goldmember from Austin Powers would say "I love Goooold!!"

I've been dying to mix touches of gold and silver into my home and have found fantastic inspiration from an article featured in Traditional Home.

Designers Kara Mann and Kristin Nelson create a perfect mix of glamour and sophistication using silver and gold accents throughout this gorgeous home. Enjoy the visual show!!

I love that I have the same floors as this home, it gives me so many ideas of how to incorporate the wood into a lighter scheme! All that glitters is definitely gold :)

Speaking of Gossip Girl...

Ok so I just can't get enough of Gossip Girl this week and had to post a photo that has completely inspired me!! 

• First I need to own this red skirt Blair is wearing.... adorable. 
• Second the colour combination of turquoise mixed with red has me completely captivated

Though I'm not usually a fan of mixing completely opposite colours on the colour wheel, this one has me hooked!!

Dear Gossip Girl, I am so very happy that you are back!! It was a long winter without you!!

Old School Love

Happy Belated Easter! 

I got to enjoy my Easter Weekend surrounded by family and friends enjoying too much food and too much wine :)

While at home I spent some time flipping through old photo albums (looking for family photos to add to my dining room photo wall, images to come) and came across some classics!! Beyond the adorable childhood shots of my siblings and I, check out the awesome decor of our kitchen!! LOVE it.

We were definitely a wallpaper family, love the 80's prints :)
